This week, we plan to "finish" two areas we've been working on lately. "Finish" is a big word — we can't really say we've finished working in a place — but at least we can say we've done what we could in this specific area. It's a nice sense of accomplishment!

Wednesday, Sept. 30th, 5–7 PM
Meet-up: Easement on Kent Drive (8360 Kent Drive, El Cerrito)

• Option to go deep into Hidden Valley to remove broom (more poison oak there)

• Option to finish removing Pride of Madeira. As an invasive, it has prevented other plants from growing — including poison oak, which can still be found here but is more concentrated at the periphery, where it's easier to avoid. They're so satisfying to remove — very dry (another sign of how fire-prone they are) and easy to break by hand.

Sunday, Oct. 4th, 10 AM–12 PM: Broom and Pride of Madeira removal
